Create Services Using the Wizard
The Create Service wizard defines a service and then groups discovered software and managed servers in a logical business entity. The business entity can be the software and server to run a real-time inventory control solution, or to run an FTP site.

- ClickManagement, Services.
- On theServicestab, selectCreate Servicefrom theTable Actionsdrop-down list.
- On theServicepage of theCreate Servicewizard, complete the following fields:NameDefines a name for the new service.DescriptionDescribes or identifies the service and its purpose.Management ProfileAssigns a management profile to the service.To assign the profile that theCA Configuration Automationadministrator designated as the default, select Use Default Profile.Discovery EnabledSpecifies whether the components in the service are updated during discovery.Management EnabledSpecifies whether the components in the service are updated during refresh.Business OwnerDefines the owner of the service.Business ProcessDefines the business operation that is associated with the service.IT OwnerDefines the IT organization that is responsible for the service components.LocationDefines the geographic location of the service.NotesDisplays any additional information that you want to associate with the service.
- ClickNext.TheServerspage lists the available servers and the selected servers.
- Add or remove servers from the service, and clickNext.
- On theServer Groupspage, double-click one or more server groups to add to the service from theAvailable Server Groupscolumn.
- ClickFinish.The service is added to theServicestable.
