Q4 2020 Release Notes

These notes provide pertinent information regarding features, changes, and defect fixes that were periodically released to
Rally
 from October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
Hardware and software requirements, compatibility, and known issues for the
Rally
 Enterprise and Unlimited Editions during this time period are also provided in the main Release Notes.
We have updated the
Rally
 UI. Information in these release notes refers to the new UI.

Updated SSO Information for
Rally
 Add-in for Excel

Rally
 now supports two identity providers for SSO. If your subscription has been migrated to the new identity provider, you must update the SSO URL for the
Rally
 Add-in for Excel (older version). If you do not know what SSO URL to use for the add-in, contact your subscription administrator.

Cookie Use in
Rally

You must enable cookies for
Rally
 to work as designed.

End of Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Legacy Edge

Following Microsoft’s August 17 announcement that support of IE11 and Legacy Edge will be sunsetting in the near future,
Rally
 has decided to remove support for these browsers. Be advised that starting November 30, 2020,
Rally
 will no longer support the IE11 or Legacy Edge browser versions. We recommend that you switch to another browser for your ongoing use of
Rally
 before that date to avoid any functionality issues that may occur once support is removed. After November 30, functionality and performance in those browsers will likely degrade over time as
Rally
 removes the code implemented to support them.

New Rally Status Page Location

The existing Service Status pages (http://status.rallydev.com/ and http://status.eu.rallydev.com/) have transitioned to the Broadcom Service Status platform:
https://rally.status.broadcom.com
Current Service Status URLs will automatically redirect to the new URL until October 31, 2020. If you have any bookmarks, update them to reflect the new URL.

Updated Colors

Rally
has modified the colors you can assign to work items to offer more contrast and meet accessibility requirements. The color names have not changed.

Portfolio Item Percent Done Field Coloring

The descriptions for the portfolio item
Percent Done
 field coloring have been updated. Learn more.

Determining Size of Loss for Risk Items

The
Size of Loss
 value on a risk work item is not limited to a number of days delayed or lost. It may also be a monetary value or a relative value agreed to by the organization (similar to story points). Learn more.

Ability to Add a Watch to a Work Item with a Toolbar Action

You can watch or unwatch a single work item with a toolbar action. Learn more.

Ability to Remove a Work Item from a Collection or Association with a Toolbar Action

You can remove certain work item associations through a toolbar action. Learn more.

GitHub has developed a

 + GitHub app that can be used with GitHub Enterprise On-Premises. Learn more.

Display Preferences

You can select between three page display preferences: Roomy, Comfortable, or Compact. Your selection applies to all pages in
Rally
 with a board or list. This feature replaces the option to wrap or truncate text on board view pages. Learn more.

Pinned and Recent Item Lists

From one convenient location throughout
Rally
, you can quickly access up to 15 pinned work items and your 10 most recently viewed items. Learn more.
